We had another busy week! Ben made his annual Leprechaun face and hat (pictured below)--it was 70's degrees on St. Patty's Day, so the kids went for a walk at daycare. . . .when they came back they think a leprechaun must have been at Carrie's because some things were out of place. . . .the same thing happened at Olivia's school---both Olivia and Ben talked about it all night!
Soccer season has started! John is coaching both teams with Steve, so they are going to be busy! At least both teams practice the same night right after the other! They had their first game yesterday, and played well. John couldn't be there because he was playing in his own game---Pius X Annual Alumni Basketball Tournament. He played Friday night and all day on Saturday-----his team WON! They were feeling pretty good about themselves since most of the teams they play are 10 years younger than them. . . .he even got a battle wound this year---cut his chin open and had to have it glued back together----the kids think it's cool:-)
Since John was gone most of the weekend, we were visited on Friday night by Aunt Angela--she enjoyed spending time with the kids and it got her out of watching the March Madness b-ball with Tyler:-)She's getting pretty good and feeding Sam and changing his diapers! She is due in eight weeks!!! Amy and I are having a shower for her next weekend, so we're looking forward to that. Grandma Jane went with us to shop for some shower gifts---anytime we go shopping lately Olivia wears necklaces, bracelets, and always brings a purse--she was a big help! Ben got bored quite quickly, and Sam was content most of the time!
This afternoon we went to the musical at my school--"Seven Brides For Seven Brothers"--Ben didn't want to go, so Olivia took her friend Lauren---they had a great time! I thought the musical was done very well---it's fun to see high school students perform like that!
I've got A LOT of school work to get to, since I didn't do any of it this weekend----I might have to quit early though so I can continue reading the latest book we are reading with Olivia--The Magic Treehouse #20---it's a series of books for kids, every single one of them has been great. It's John's turn to read with her tomorrow before bed, so I may not get to hear the end of the book if I don't just read it myself:-)
Sam sporting some new shoes.
Olivia ready to go shopping!
Aunt Angela feeding Sammy----I think his tummy might be bigger than her tummy!
Our leprechaun, Benjamin:-)
